I found this video through the recommendation of my dearest friend, Carmela "Beakman" Arceo. I remember getting addicted to it right after I finished watching it. I decided to download it into my iPod just so I can watch it a gazillion times everyday.

The best general description I could probably give to this video is: Pointless but WONDERFUL.

I have watched a number of funny videos on Youtube.com, but this one has certainly surpassed my standards. It was so different from those really crappy videos which are supposed to be funny, but they end up becoming really stupid and corny. This video is pure genius!!! All hail Neil Cicierga! He's the creator of the Potter Puppet Pals. Seriously, you should watch this for yourself. Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx1XIm6q4r4

The video is a musical played by puppets (from Harry Potter) who sing to the beat of a "mysterious ticking noise". It starts with Severus Snape who found the ticking "kind of catchy" and was also the puppet to start the song with the line: "Snape, Snape, Severus Snape" which he repeats over and over again. He is followed by Hogwarts' Head Master, Dumbledore, whose character is quite different from the real Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies (Why is that so? Watch the movie to find out). Ronald Weasley comes next and is followed by Hermione Granger. Last but not the least, Harry Potter appears. He was the funniest among all the puppets!!! XD XD XD Lots of funny stuff happens and then finally, the song is interrupted by Ron who finds the source of the ticking. It was a pipe bomb. It explodes and, consequentially, they all die. The video ends with Voldemort singing his line: "Voldemort, Voldemort, oooh, Voldy Voldy Voldy Voldemort!".

What features do I like about this video? First of all, it's 100% Harry Potter material. I am a certified fan of the HP series that is why I was instantly hooked to this. Second, I loved the puppets and, of course, the song. It wasn't actually a song; it sounded more of a chant because they only kept on repeating what they said. The puppets were so adorable and they totally resembled the real characters from Harry Potter. Lastly, the good humor and the simplicity with which this video was made captivated me the most. It showed no vulgarity; it was plainly funny. Sometimes people have the need to incorporate dirty stuff into videos just so they can make it more interesting and humorous. This is not the case for "The Mysterious Ticking Noise" which I sincerely recommend to those people who are looking for good, clean and easy-on-the-brain fun.
