Full Synopsis:
Young wizard-in-training Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) returns to Hogwarts for his fifth year of studies, only to find that the magical community seems to be in a curious state of denial about his recent encounter with the sinister Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) in the fifth installment of the popular fantasy film series based on the best-selling books by author J.K. Rowling. Rumor has it that the dreaded Lord Voldemort has returned, but Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge (Robert Hardy) isn't so sure what to make of all the hearsay currently floating around the campus of Hogwarts. Suspecting that Headmaster Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) may be fueling the rumors regarding Voldemort's return in order to undermine his authority and lay claim to his job, Fudge entrusts newly arrived Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) with the task of tracking Dumbledore and keeping a protective watch over the nervous student body. The young wizards of Hogwarts will need something much more effective than Umbridge's Ministry-approved course in defensive magic if they are to truly succeed in the extraordinary battle that lies ahead, however, and when the administration fails to provide the students with the tools that they will need to defend Hogwarts against the fearsome powers of the Dark Arts, Hermione (Emma Watson), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Harry take it upon themselves to recruit a small group of students to form "Dumbledore's Army" in preparation for the ultimate supernatural showdown.

Review:
Okay, I'm a total HP fan, both of the books and movies, but seriously, this fifth installment of the series just sort of let me down. The only thing that kept me glued to my seat was the sight of Harry's (Daniel Radcliffe) face. He is so totally gorgeous!!! I love him, I know you do too. Come on admit it! Marry me Harry!!!!
There are many reasons why I don't like this movie so much compared to the previous movies of HP. I'll just name a few. One, it's SO boring! Why's that so? Everyone just keeps on talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and (must I go on?) talking in every scene. I wanted to see some action, and loooots of magic, of course! It's just so full of narration, in short, it was too informative. Maybe they intended to do this for the sake of the people who have never read the book, but even still, they should've focused on the REALLY important parts. Okay, moving on... Number two, where are Ron and Hermione? I barely felt their presence in this movie. They were like extras. Okay, maybe I'm just overreacting, but it's just my opinion anyway. It was all Harry this and Harry that. I'm not complaining though because I like Harry, and the movie is, after all, entitled to his name, but I just felt that some people might have gotten sick of the sight of his face. I don't want that to happen! Three, Cho and Harry's smooching scene was--- was--- oh I don't know, LONG? I think it lasted for 10 secs or something. It grossed me out a bit actually, and it was quite disturbing (don't ask why). Most of all, a lot of girls got devastated; including me, of course. Hehehe. Lastly, I really didn't appreciate it that much because a lot of the stuff from the book was not included in the movie. I did say that it was waaaaay detailed, but it was on the wrong parts. I mean, there wasn't even a single Quidditch tournament in the movie! They didn't elaborate much on the things that happened at the house of Black which I was really looking forward to seeing in the movie. **sigh** This just goes to show that even the greatest movies of all time have their own flaws and downsides.
Let's just keep our fingers crossed for the sixth movie, I hope they make it a good one.
